Artist, Teacher, Animal Lover, Outdoor Enthusiast

My name is Emily LeBaron. In 2005 I graduated from The College of William and Mary with a degree in fine arts. A year later I went back to school for a Masters in Special Education to pursue a passion for teaching individuals with diverse strengths, needs and backgrounds. I worked as a Special Education teacher until 2013 when my teaching shifted to the great outdoors. As an educator and manager for an outdoor education company for the past 7 years, I have enjoyed teaching school groups, college students, and adults to communicate, collaborate, and appreciate the beauty of a classroom in nature.

Throughout my adventures in teaching I have kept a (paint-stained) hand in the world of art. I work on commissions for children portraits, pet portraits, and anything else that tickles my fancy. Being able to process world events, neighborhood observations, and my own opinions and emotions through art is a gift I am profoundly thankful for.

I currently live in Ashburn Virginia, love to hike with my dogs, experiment in the kitchen, and am learning to crochet (slowly).
